Federal Employees Enjoying Cyber Health Benefits
In an effort to promote quality health care and information among Federal Employees, the Office of Personnel Management has made health care information and personal medical records available online for its employees. This was done to supply a greater degree of control to employees over their healthcare and to give access to information which would lead to more informed decisions. The OPM achieves this through contracts with private sector health plans, who in turn work with medical providers to provide services to federal employees.
