Florida Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty commented today in response to recent ideas that in the aftermath of the financial issues of the American International Group (AIG), that the regulation of insurance should be transferred from the state level to the federal level.Commissioner McCarty feels that insurance regulation has proven to be successful at the state level and therefore should remain a state regulatory function.
