Health insurance center around patients
A patient centered health care reform starts with personal ownership of health insurance policies and controlled Health Saving accounts. This would be a low premium, high deductible substitute to conventional health insurance that includes a tax-advantaged saving account. This would allow citizens to buy insurance policies across state lines and decreases the number of mandated benefits insurers are made to cover. It reallocates most of the Medicaid spending into an easy voucher for people with low incomes to purchase their own affordable health insurance. It also decreases the cost of medical procedures by changing liability laws. What do you think about a “patient centered” health care reform?
