Nationwide Insurance Sued Over Health Insurance Policies

Nationwide Insurance, a provider of health insurance, is being sued by several members in Washington who are accusing the company of selling policies without authorization or approval from the state insurance commissioner’s office. They are claiming that the policies did not meet the minimum standards required by law and the class action lawsuit will cover the 468 Washington residents who purchased a policy from Nationwide. How do these types of events affect insurance companies in general as well as consumers?
