NC Losing Insurance at an Alarming Rate
A recent study reveals that North Carolina leads the nation in the speed at which citizens are losing health insurance. They are first in the nation when it comes to children losing coverage, and a close second for the working population, behind only South Carolina. The rate of citizens with coverage has fallen steadily for seven straight years and it shows no sign of stopping. But with people losing their jobs and their homes, it is no wonder that health coverage would be lost as well. Will the economy have to recover in order for this trend to be reversed, or is it a problem that would remain independent of economic conditions?
