Our Health Care System Must Change
Even before the country saw an economic downturn, skyrocketing healthcare costs were leading many to skip necessary procedures and preventative care, while many others had to drop their coverage altogether. Whichever candidate you choose to get behind this election, know that either way, the country is facing major change. If McCain comes out victorious, supporters feel that the market will drive prices down, people will have more control of their care, and the government will have play a reduced role in the health insurance system. On the other hand, backers of Obama feel that if he wins, the government will do more to make sure that all Americans become insured with quality coverage and will take on a much greater role in the health insurance system. Which route do you think is the best for the country. Should the government play a bigger, or a smaller role in the management of our health care system?
