Patients May No Longer Be Victim to Unexpected Costs
Unfortunately, when a patient seeks treatment from a physician and finds out later that the treatment was not fully covered by their insurance provider, they are left with unexpected expenses and the burden of having to pay them. These “gap fees” as they are called, have affected more and more people in recent years as physicians fail to inform patients that their treatment will not be entirely covered until after the treatment is done. This has come under scrutiny as of late, and may soon be restricted by the Federal Government. What do you think?
