Private Health insurance companies caught off guard
Recognizing the rising sentiment for some type of change and completely aware that universal coverage would help intensify their positions as baby boomers age into the Medicare system, private insurers from the beginning confirmed their support for President Obama’s health reform effort. But when word came that the Democrats were devising a new public relations battle plan, the health insurance companies were sent spinning and truly seemed to be caught off guard. A memo from the House Democratic leadership in regards to how to sell the proposed reform during the Congressional recess told members to hold the insurance companies responsible. Do you agree?

Not at all. An obvious device that would not have been pulled out of the bag of tricks if so many many people were not so adamently opposed to the reforms currently on the table (HB 3200), not to mention the CBO’s estimate of cost for it.
