When Health Insurance Isn’t Enough
Many Americans remain uninsured due to lack of employment or inability to pay premiums. However, they are not alone in missing out on treatments and care. Even those with insurance are being found to skip treatments and not fill recommended prescriptions due to an inability to pay copays and meet deductibles. If both presidential candidates are focused on the problem of getting people insured, is anyone paying attention to the inadequecies of the plans that people currently have? What good will it do to have everyone covered, if the coverage isn’t enough to allow them to afford care?
